No. Biolyze is an educational tool that helps you understand your lab values and explore lifestyle improvements. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or replace medical advice from a qualified physician. Always discuss significant findings with your doctor.
Standard blood work reports — comprehensive metabolic panels, lipid panels, hormone panels, vitamin and mineral panels, complete blood counts. We accept PDFs and images (JPG, PNG, HEIC). Multi-page PDFs and multiple files are combined into a single analysis.
Biomarker extraction uses GPT-4o vision, the most accurate OCR for medical layouts. Reference ranges are validated against a database of 2,238 medical-standard values, sex-stratified where applicable. The AI is conservative — it flags uncertainty rather than guessing. That said, you should always verify any significant findings with your physician.
Files are processed in-memory by our API and never persisted to disk. After the analysis runs, the file is discarded. Only the extracted numerical values are stored — encrypted — for the duration of your session. We do not use your reports for AI training and do not share data with third parties.
On the web, each analysis is currently independent. For full trend tracking — comparing values across multiple reports over months — you'll want the native iOS or Android app, where your full history is securely stored.

We route automatically to the best model for each task: GPT-4o for image-based extraction (best vision OCR for medical layouts), Claude Opus 4.7 for text-based extraction and meal plan generation (best at structured long-form output), Gemini 1.5 Pro as fallback. You don't have to choose — the routing is automatic.
